Emergent Territories Research Studio: Final Presentations

Emergent Territories Research Studio: Students explore countries and cities around the world with emerging economies and cultures that can contribute to the planet as whole. Emergent territories has to do with the creation of intelligent territories that function in a multiscalar way, in order that the relationship between natures, networks and nodes can foment the 'emergence' of an urban intelligence. This studio also focuses on Barcelona as a site for ongoing urban experimentation with a view to contribute to the discussions and reflections in relation to the urban progress of the city.

URBIOTICA designs, develops and commericalizes a complete range of technology based products and services meant to improve the management and user experience of urban spaces, offering advanced functionality for the connected city.

Miguel Roldán (R+B Arcquitectura)
Miguel is an Architect and Director of the Exchange Program for Architecture Schools for the Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya and an Adjunct Professor at Clemson University and Texas A&M.

Antonio Sanmartín de Azcón (aSZ Aquitectes)
Antonio is Associate Professor at ETSAB-UPC, Thesis Professor at ESARQ-UIC, and Co-Founder of Archt Grupo Investigador at UPC.

Andreu Ulied (MCRIT)
Andreu is Founder and Director of MCRIT and Professor of the Masters in Urbanism at la Escola d'Aministració Publica de Catalunya.
