Event's IaaC - Iaac and City Council of Sant Cugat cooperation.

11th of December the City Council of Sant Cugat and the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia cooperate in search of the zero emissions city .

Promus (Municipal Housing Promotora del Ayuntamiento de Sant Cugat), and Vicente Guallart Acciona (Director of the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia and Guallart Architects) have signed an agreement to study the possible development of the first residential community of Spain with CO2 zero emissions balance.

The estate would include 150 housing units for promoting municipal regims (VPO) under a lease in an area of this town in Catalonia.

The residential community is therefore the first zero-emissions city project, capable of self suppling its energy needs through a combination of savings and energy efficiency and clean energy generation, thus avoiding the impact of CO2 emissions.http://www.construible.es/noticiasDetalle.aspx?id=3887&c=1&idm=5&pat
