FACILITIES
The Institute for advanced architecture of Catalonia is located in the diverse bohemian neighborhood of Poble Nou in a refurbished industrial building. The building has been completely renovated for modern use, but still maintains a romantic industrial atmosphere.
OFFICE
The Institute's office is open Monday through to Friday, from 9.00-18.00. It is closed on public holidays.
LIBRARY
IAAC's library serves as a gateway to information with databases, books, journals, and primary research materials. The library also houses an extensive video collection of public lectures and final presentations from the Institute.
In addition, students at the School have access to the Library of the school of architecture of Barcelona (UPC) the biggest library in the field in Barcelona.
ARCHITECTURE EXHIBITION GALLERY
Exhibition hours are Monday through to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. Architecture Gallery is located on the ground floor and has a total area of 800m².
DIGITAL MEDIA FACILITIES
The Institute provides students with a high quality and solid information infrastructure, including e-mail, wireless internet connection, and server service.
Network ports located throughout the studios allow students to have their own computers at their drafting station.
IAAC provides data projectors, digital cameras, large-format plotters, 2-D and 3-D printers, scanners, laser cutters and milling machines for individual student use.
VIDEO LAB
IAAC operates a state-of-the-art computer lab for video editing which includes 8 work stations.
STUDIO
IAAC students have access to the studio, seven days a week.
